I have loved doing hair since I was little and have always enjoyed the business side of it. After 15 years in the industry I decided to follow my dreams and open Ahava Salon and Spa. Having dreams come true is something I wish everyone can experience someday!

I am passionate about making people feel beautiful and confident. Part of this amazing industry is the education. My on-going education has taken me as close as Chicago, and as far as New York and even Spain.

Keeping up with trends and fashion is very important to me to help my guest have the look they want!

I have been in the beauty industry for a number of years but have had a love for hair since I was a little girl. I believe this is what I’m meant to do. The best part of my job is that it doesn’t feel like a job, it’s my love, passion, and I get to learn something new every day.

I love getting to know my guests and make them feel beautiful. Seeing the vision come to life, and my guests leaving the salon more confident makes my day! I love doing bridal hair, highlighting, and long layered cuts among many other things, and enjoying combining my guests ideas with my own to create the best look for them!

I am always striving to learn new and innovative ways to keep my clients up to date and looking and feeling their best. I have great passion for creating beautiful and customized looks for each one of my guests in the salon.

I also give the tools and knowledge to be able to recreate this look in their day-to-day lives, while ensuring my art and their hair stays vibrant and healthy between visits. I will always truly listen to the wants and need of every one of my guests, yet educate them as to the best look to compliment their face shape, skin tone, and lifestyle.

I also love doing hair and makeup for film, television, editorial and weddings.

Making people feel confident and beautiful is the best part of my job.

In my freetime I love to be active; fitness and nutrition are a huge part of my life.

Making people look and feel beautiful, and confident has always been important to me. I grew up watching my mom and her love for hair which inspired me to follow in her footsteps. So in 2003 I started my career which quickly became my passion!

I love to learn and grow, and continue to take classes to do just that! I keep up on the latest techniques and trends so I can always bring you a fresh look. Not only do I take advantage of all the in salon training I am provided, but I travel throughout the midwest as well.

I have been a hairstylist for a number of years now, and with each passing day my passion for the industry continues to grow. My favorite thing is to figure out what is going to make my guest feel their most beautiful and confident, and then to make your hair dreams come true!

I also love the art of making your nails look beautiful. I continue to take classes to better myself and would love to share what I learn with you.

All of my guests have my promise that when they leave my chair they will have a beautiful new look and all of the knowledge they need to recreate their new style in the comfort of their own home.

I have been doing hair for many years and have loved every minute. My education started at The Salon Professional Academy, but I continue to learn and grow. I have taken classes in Milwaukee and Chicago, and also did advanced training at The Redken Exchange in New York. I also did a 5 day job shadow at Sam Bracado Salon in New York.

Areas of my career that I love and specialize in are bobs, short hair, long layer, highlights, and coloring.

My career brings something new everyday. I love working with my clients to achieve a look that makes them feel beautiful.

I have been in love with hair since I was 6 years old and as an adult, I decided to stop playing with hair and pursue my dream. Now I get the opportunity to meet amazing people and make their hair visions a reality.

I love all things hair but special occasion styles, color, and extensions are my top three favorite things to do. Kinky/curly hair? No problem! I would love to give you tips and tricks to own those curls!

Massage, Aesthetics, and Nail Tech

Mailynn joins us as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Licensed Aesthetician. She has always admired the health and wellness industry and continued to become educated at Blue Sky School of Professional Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork, Gill-Tech Academy of Hair Design, and The Salon Professional Academy.

She brings several years of experience into her practice and encourages clients to be active participants in their healing process and as a practitioner she brings her nurturing and therapeutic touch. She offers a therapeutic massage blending swedish and deep tissue techniques. In addition, she offers her talent and skills in relaxing and rejuvenating skin care needs and perfecting your waxing demands.

I absolutely love my job! I am passionate about helping all my guests find that special look the is unique to them and makes them feel beautiful!

I have been a hairstylist for many years and have attended many hair cutting and coloring classes by top Redken and Pureology artists. I enjoy all types of women’s bobs, pixies and long layers. Coloring, highlighting and chemical straightening are also fun techniques we can use to enhance your look.

Hi, my name is Ashley. I attended the Salon Professional Academy and graduated top of my class. You may have seen my work on Fox 11's Monday morning makeover, or Deluxe 920 magazine shoots as well as other top magazines in the area.

I've attended classes around the world and continue to hone my craft. Continuously improving my education of hair and trends is my top priority. When it comes to my guests, I take pride in getting to know each and every one while creating a personalized look that suites their needs. My passion for this is industry is always growing. My mission is to bring each persons inner beauty, out.

Work isn’t work when you love what you do! As a stylist I meet new people, create beautiful art work, and help bring a vision to life. I grew up loving anything and everything to do with the beauty industry, from makeup to hair styles, nails to eyelash extensions, there has been endless opportunities for me to grow and learn more in my passion.

My mission each and everyday is to make sure my guests walk out feeling more beautiful and confident in their own skin, one appointment at a time! Keeping up on techniques and trends is my top priority, to ensure I can help every person I encounter get the best experience possible. I want to be the most educated I can be, so my clients leave with the knowledge and skill to keep up the health and trendy styles during their time away from my chair.

My name is Carley Verhagen, I am part of the aesthetics team at Ahava. I was drawn to the skincare industry through my own skincare journey, and the act of self-love it can bring. Making my clients feel safe, comfortable, and beautiful is a goal I try to achieve at each service. I really enjoy working with PCA skincare and their result driven products. They have a great education platform as I am always striving to learn the latest techniques and procedures. It is priority of mine to educate my clients for the best results. I look forward to helping you with your skin care needs.

Manager/Front Desk

Every day that I go into work and see our guests light up with confidence is a reminder of why I am so blessed to be the Manager of such an amazing salon and spa. I have always had a passion for customer service and working with different people day to day. I take my role as a leader very seriously, knowing I am there to help answer questions and be a resource to everyone within Ahava. One of my favorite roles at the salon is coordinating all of our bridal parties – big and small. Weddings are one of the most important days in someone’s life and I love that I am able to help our salon be a part of that special day!

I also spend a lot of my time up at the front desk assisting our guests and listening to their needs to find a great match within our talented team. I hope to create an outstanding experience for every person that walks through our doors, from start to finish.

My favorite part about working at Ahava is that every day I get to surround myself with strong, like-minded individuals whom I continue to learn from each week. Everybody works together to make sure we all succeed and it’s a very uplifting environment to be in. I have loved becoming a part of the Ahava family and cherish the relationships, not only with the people I work with, but with the amazing individuals that walk through our doors each day.

I have always had a love of hair and art. My goal is to bring your inner vision to the surface. I strive to make you feel beautiful, confident, and seen. I love both the art and science of hair and prioritize your hair’s health more than anything! 

I specialize dimensional, low-maintenance colors and cutting hair. I work with colors all over the board and feel confident I can make you happy! Curly hair is one of my fortes but I work with all shapes, lengths, and textures.

I’m a recent graduate in the industry but have loved doing my friends and family’s hair and nails for a long time.  I love all things hair and nails but most specifically I love focusing on blonding, extensions and nail art services!  I am a perfectionist in all things I do so if you’re looking for someone to perfect each and every detail then I’m your girl! A part of this industry that I love so much is how much it evolves, I love keeping up to trends not only for all things beauty but I love all things fashion as well!  Outside of work I love spending time with my boyfriend, friends, and family. Hi, I’m Sophie! I love being part of the team at Ahava because of the positive and upbeat atmosphere. Making people feel welcomed is one of my favorite parts of the job—so if you see me smiling at the front desk, that’s just me enjoying what I do! I’m currently in cosmetology school and can’t wait to graduate and start my career as a stylist. When I’m not working or studying, you’ll usually find me sipping coffee and getting lost in a good book.

Hi!  My name is Molly Simons and I am the Marketing/Social Media Manager here at Ahava! I graduated from UW-Oshkosh in December of 2024 with a major in Radio, TV, Film and certificates in Social Media, Digital Content Creation, and Advertising.  I’ve had a passion for content creation and the beauty industry for as long as I can remember. From fashion and makeup to hair and nails, I’ve always been fully immersed in all things beauty.  In my free time, you can usually find me creating content, hanging out with my cat, Audi, spending time with friends and family, thrifting, or anything outdoors, specifically hiking!  My favorite part about working at Ahava is the opportunity to create meaningful content and market a company that truly cares about its guests—while getting to be involved in an industry I genuinely love.
