I have loved doing hair since I was little and have always enjoyed the business side of it. After 15 years in the industry I decided to follow my dreams and open Ahava Salon and Spa. Having dreams come true is something I wish everyone can experience someday!

I am passionate about making people feel beautiful and confident. Part of this amazing industry is the education. My on-going education has taken me as close as Chicago, and as far as New York and even Spain.

Keeping up with trends and fashion is very important to me to help my guest have the look they want!

I have been in the beauty industry for a number of years but have had a love for hair since I was a little girl. I believe this is what I’m meant to do. The best part of my job is that it doesn’t feel like a job, it’s my love, passion, and I get to learn something new every day.

I love getting to know my guests and make them feel beautiful. Seeing the vision come to life, and my guests leaving the salon more confident makes my day! I love doing bridal hair, highlighting, and long layered cuts among many other things, and enjoying combining my guests ideas with my own to create the best look for them!

Making people look and feel beautiful, and confident has always been important to me. I grew up watching my mom and her love for hair which inspired me to follow in her footsteps. So in 2003 I started my career which quickly became my passion!

I love to learn and grow, and continue to take classes to do just that! I keep up on the latest techniques and trends so I can always bring you a fresh look. Not only do I take advantage of all the in salon training I am provided, but I travel throughout the midwest as well.

I am always striving to learn new and innovative ways to keep my clients up to date and looking and feeling their best. I have great passion for creating beautiful and customized looks for each one of my guests in the salon.

I also give the tools and knowledge to be able to recreate this look in their day-to-day lives, while ensuring my art and their hair stays vibrant and healthy between visits. I will always truly listen to the wants and need of every one of my guests, yet educate them as to the best look to compliment their face shape, skin tone, and lifestyle.

I also love doing hair and makeup for film, television, editorial and weddings.
Making people feel confident and beautiful is the best part of my job.
In my freetime I love to be active; fitness and nutrition are a huge part of my life.

I have been doing nails since 2010. My education started at The Salon Professional Academy, and I also had advanced training with Shellac Nail Polish.

My specialities are pedicures, manicures, and nail art.
My mission is to tend to all my guests’ nail needs, while they relax.

I have been a hairstylist for a number of years now, and with each passing day my passion for the industry continues to grow. My favorite thing is to figure out what is going to make my guest feel their most beautiful and confident, and then to make your hair dreams come true!

I also love the art of making your nails look beautiful. I continue to take classes to better myself and would love to share what I learn with you.
All of my guests have my promise that when they leave my chair they will have a beautiful new look and all of the knowledge they need to recreate their new style in the comfort of their own home.

I have been doing hair for many years and have loved every minute. My education started at The Salon Professional Academy, but I continue to learn and grow. I have taken classes in Milwaukee and Chicago, and also did advanced training at The Redken Exchange in New York. I also did a 5 day job shadow at Sam Bracado Salon in New York.

Areas of my career that I love and specialize in are bobs, short hair, long layer, highlights, and coloring.

My career brings something new everyday. I love working with my clients to achieve a look that makes them feel beautiful.

I have been in love with hair since I was 6 years old and as an adult, I decided to stop playing with hair and pursue my dream. Now I get the opportunity to meet amazing people and make their hair visions a reality.

I love all things hair but special occasion styles, color, and extensions are my top three favorite things to do. Kinky/curly hair? No problem! I would love to give you tips and tricks to own those curls!

Mailynn joins us as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Licensed Aesthetician. She has always admired the health and wellness industry and continued to become educated at Blue Sky School of Professional Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork, Gill-Tech Academy of Hair Design, and The Salon Professional Academy.

She brings several years of experience into her practice and encourages clients to be active participants in their healing process and as a practitioner she brings her nurturing and therapeutic touch. She offers a therapeutic massage blending swedish and deep tissue techniques. In addition, she offers her talent and skills in relaxing and rejuvenating skin care needs and perfecting your waxing demands.

I have worked in customer service for many years and I have always enjoyed helping others and putting a smile on their face! I love coming to work every day and knowing I am a part of making our clients feel fabulous!

Cathy Jo has a passion for helping women feel beautiful by helping them bring out their natural beauty. As an Aesthetician and PCA Skincare Specialist she has helped many men and women improve the appearance of their skin and helping with conditions such as acne, rosacea and age control.
Cathy Jo is a nationally accredited makeup artist.Her airbrush makeup skills make her sought after for bridal and special event makeup, photo sessions, commercial and HD television work.

As a waxing specialist she will create a comfortable and relaxing environment for all your waxing services from brow design, full leg to bikini and Brazilian waxing.
Cathy Jo has years of experience with eyelash extension. Her concern for detail gives her clients natural, full, longer lashes that make their friends wonder what they did to achieve their new look.

I have loved every minute of being a hairstylist! My passion lies in bringing out the beauty in everyone and helping people gain confidence and feel their best!

I love to learn new things and stay up to date with current styles and trends. I have attended trainings all over the US and strive to always be learning. I enjoy cutting styles from long layered cuts to short pixies as well as highlighting, balayage and creating beautiful updos!

I also enjoy creating styles for photo shoots and doing hair and makeup at weddings.

I have been a hairstylist for many years and have attended many hair cutting and coloring classes by top Redken and Pureology artists. I enjoy all types of women’s bobs, pixies and long layers. Coloring, highlighting and chemical straightening are also fun techniques we can use to enhance your look.

Fascinated by the human body and astounded with touch and how it soothes and heals our structure and soul, I will forever be a student of science, anatomy, spirit and energy. 900 hours of training at The National Holistic Institute equipped me with vast knowledge of our bodies and an array of massage modalities. An additional 450 hours of Neuromuscular therapy with cadaver labs was what I wanted to blend a beautiful balance of body and being work; a customized session that relaxes the client AND provides results.

In 6 years of this field, I have been a teacher assistant, an ambassador, and member of the American Massage Therapy Association. I have been employed by the internationally acclaimed Spa & Resort, Solage Calistoga CA, Beau Therapeutic studio in Oakland CA, Wellness Wisdom in Benicia CA, my own private practice and now Ahava. I believe in looking at the client and body as a whole; knowing that what we do, eat, say, think and feel everyday will manifest in our muscles and soft tissues.

I became a stylist because I wanted a career that would challenge my creative side every day and also allow me to help others. Making my clients look and feel their best drives me to do my best work.
